This wholesaler of fixings, fasteners and tools with an eCommerce store came to Springer Marketing looking for SEO services. They wanted to see an increase in traffic and sales from their online store.

1. Background

An established wholesales of fixings, fastners and tools based in Hertfordshire were looking to increase their direct sales. They contacted Springer Marketing for help we assessed their website and it became clear that we could make significant improvements to their existing website to increase organic sales and conversions.

2. Aim

Our aim was to help them increase their positions in Google to increase their sales. We could see obvious issues with the technical side of their website and well as some content issues and no offsite signals. Our aim was to address these issues and provide an online SEO strategy.

3. Strategy

To meet our objective and increase website sales we had to develop a strategy that put the right content in front of the right user and convinced them to take action.

Our first step, after conducting their website review, was to provide the clients website designers a task list that needed completing, including fixing canalisation issues and the mobile friendlyness of the site.

While their website designers were busy working on the issues we suggested to be fixed, our SEO team conducted thorough keyword research with a priority of targetting keywords that would lead to sales.

Once their keyword list had been compiled and put into place, we worked on updating the website content both for the key landing pages and product pages. This would help our client attract and sell thier products.

We then turned our attention to offsite SEO and improving the signals that Google like to see. We also recommended that our client sign up for to an independent review system to display client reviews to increase trust with potential clients.

We completed additional content work as part of the client’s monthly SEO package, which included adding new products.
